Heritage Conservation Society

Our president, Mark Richard Evidente, has been elected to serve as the President of the Heritage Conservation Society for 2017-2018. More information on the Society can be found here.

He had previously served the Society as its Secretary in 2016-2017. Heritage conservation is a natural outgrowth of his work in sustainable tourism, and as someone trained in environmental management, he believes heritage can largely utilize the same tools and strategies used in the environmental movement.

He takes over from Ivan Henares, a tourism professor and travel writer, who had led the organization for six years, and had been outspoken in the heritage advocacy. Ivan won the TOYM award in 2012.

Mark is joined on his board by Ivan Man Dy, Liliane R. Manahan, Anabelle Alcomendas, Conrad Alampay, Voltaire Palana, Johhan Ararao, Neil Solomon Locsin, Lucille Karen Malilong, Isidra Reyes, and Kristin Trenas. More information on the Board members can be found here.

Many of the former trustees have been constituted into a Board of Advisers, which includes Gemma Cruz Araneta, Ivan Henares, Augusto Villalon, Nathaniel Von Einsiedel, Dominic Galicia, Paulo Alcazaren, Clare Amador, Kara Garilao, Tina Paterno and Butch Zialcita. Profiles of the Advisers are here.
